Conscious Beauty

CONSCIOUS BEAUTY

It is such a privilege to be able to access amazing non-toxic products with the ethos that resonates with my lifestyle, which I am deeply connected to.

I have called this week post Conscious Beauty as I like to be as conscious and aware as I possibly can about what I put in and on my body.  It is about becoming aware of and researching what is out there. There are other products that I use which would not necessarily be categorized in this range, but that would be for another post.

I am so excited that Goop has landed in the UK and that more and more people are becoming aware of what they are putting on their skin.  After all the skin is the largest organ, so anything that you put on it seeps into you.  Really something to think about isn’t it.

The packaging and everything about this brand is slick and stylish.  It really is an asset to our daily regimen.

As always each week we will continue with my theme of 7 days of.

7 Days of Concept

My concept of bringing to you my weekly guidance, passions and lifestyle tips.  There is so so much that I am interested in and have learned on this journey, where to start.  I guess we all have to start somewhere.  The main thing is just starting.

So this week with the launch of Goop I decided to discuss my passion for conscious beauty.  We could use a myriad of words to describe this, in the range of products I use, trust and believe in.  Non-Toxic, Organic, Natural, Cruelty-Free,  ingredients from organic cultivation, ingredients from natural origin,  paraben and sulfate free, to name a few listings.

Even, if you cannot afford a fully organic lifestyle just making small weekly changes to your lifestyle is a start.

Begin with swapping your current toxic laden Body cream perhaps with using some of the items I use and have pictured and listed here.  The fantastic availability we have because of the internet is amazing as these products are available online from trusted sources and the price ranges really do vary and are in a variation of affordability brackets.

These brands can be purchased from Planet Organic, Waitrose, Net a Porter, Cult Beauty and Content Beauty Wellbeing.  Trusted places that I shop in regularly. Some of the products are just as easily accessible in your local Organic shop.

From Akin, which is in a lower bracket to mid-range Dr Haushka and Antipodes, to the phenomenal Kora Organics which would perhaps be considered in the higher bracket. It is all relative to your lifestyle and what, you would consider a worthy purchase, price wise.

Basically, what I am saying is that there is something for everyone out there.  I have been on this path for many many years and believe and trust in the Brands I purchase as I have spent a considerable length of time researching them.  I love to be able to alternate between an oil, cream or body moisturizer dependant on the day, season, mood and whether I use the particular product in the morning or evening.

What, a joy it is to honour our bodies both inside and out with the knowledge of what we are putting on it does not cause us unnecessary harm.  Let us not take for granted how we nurture ourselves on a daily basis and taking these principles and small steps forward with making positive changes leading us to our 7 days principle.  Try this one small positive change and see what it does for you in a week.

After all, whats a week of your life when you have the rest of your life to look forward to.
