Personally, I emphasise on experiences in my life and not things. Lots of things add up to lots of unnecessary clutter. Looking back, I have probably always been a decluttering fiend. I actually really enjoy the process. I find it incredibly cathartic. I like giving, so the natural process for me is to give things away.
This, spring I started on another of my decluttering sprees as I do several times a year and better late than never having only ever purchased 1 thing on eBay back in 2013, I started gathering my items some for the charity shop, the homeless and somehow decided to open up my eBay shop and business. The family started to give me their things and from there it grew. I really love the process and take great pride in how I interact with my buyers and how I post the items to them. Simplifying, and decluttering your life is such a profoundly strong energetic act. It is incredibly powerful. If you have never done it what a great time to start. With our 7 DAYS OF PRINCIPLE, try it and see, at the end of the week how you feel and if there have been any significant shifts around this process. 7 days of clearing out the clutter in all aspects of your life is a start. But, where do you start? Only, you will essentially know that. What aspect are you drawn to first? When was the last time you looked in your attic or under the bed? The places to start are endless. What are you drawn too?
As week 1 ends it actually starts to become a cathartic experience and you may not want to stop. It’s so freeing.

Fantastic, if it makes you happy and you love it keep it, and if not there are many people who would love to have what you have.
Clutter to me is anything that is getting in your way of living your life to the best of your ability.
Firstly, it is a good idea to take into deep consideration the items you choose to surround yourself with.
What attachments do you have to them? Recognise the holding on to patterns. Ask yourself

The list of questions you can ask yourself about what you have is never-ending. This is where you would need to dig deep ask your own questions and really deep down you know the answer to your own questions. It is a matter of being honest and open with yourself.
We are constantly seeking fulfilment in the next thing, which is outside of ourselves and sometimes use this mechanism to acquire more stuff, never being truly fully present or satisfied.
Then, as the stuff piles up we feel ever increasingly empty and need to get rid of it to make space for more stuff, and on and on and on the cycle continues.
By, shifting your perspective you will no longer need to just accumulate the clutter in the first place.
Before going too crazy on a decluttering spree do always consider what the item truly represents to you before getting rid of it, nothing worse than getting rid of something in haste and obsessing over it years later, I am speaking from experience and have learnt the hard way, all the questions I have proposed to you as obsessing over something that has long gone is very unhealthy.
Another great question, are you clearing out stuff to add more stuff?
Does the item keep you in the past? What emotions surround this, of course, if they are unhealthy upsetting thoughts perhaps, yes it is probably time to let it go.
There is no hurry. Decluttering is an exceptionally powerful tool. The physical clutter you surround yourself with has a direct effect on your brain. By having a good clear out of your stuff you bring in a level of peace and clarity into your life and shows you are prioritising what is important. Fundamentally, the attachment you place on stuff really comes down to what place you hold a space for fulfilment in your life.
It seems, that the mere focusing on things we think we need somehow creates this lack mentality, scarcity mindset which is highly unproductive. When you are satisfied you do not immediately always go for more stuff.
It’s, not necessary to seek validation from the stuff outside of yourself, clutter is not just the physical objects its the clutter of noise from gossip, social media, negativity, news, toxic relationships, its all clutter at the end of the day. Cluttering, the peace we all truly deserve and seek in our lives. It’s up to you what you let in or ultimately let out on your decluttering journey.
Being, aware and grateful for what you already have empowers you, and that is what makes you feel abundant. Do not get me wrong, I absolutely love and adore beautiful items, but as I have developed into a deeper sense of self, I have just naturally started years ago to lean towards less stuff. I personally cannot abide clutter and am a minimalist and through, finding that, my thought process is different towards acquiring more stuff. I am an extremely generous person by nature and it gives me great joy to be able to give something away that I no longer use to someone less fortunate, I have always been this way. Also, having the eBay business is fantastic, which gives you the option of what do I give away and what do I sell.
