Past Present Future

So following on from last weeks blog, how did we all go with the 7 days of Principle of Presence, not as easy as it sounds is it. Especially as I find personally and with speaking with many people this time of year brings up so so much stuff.

Where is our presence and awareness right now?

In our everyday life it actually does not seem to matter what time of the year it is our minds go from thoughts of the past, the present and the future.

We obsess, scan over, dissect, over what happened in the past or what did not happen to our liking.

We can then become fixated on the future.

How, what, if, when on and on and on. It is totally exhausting as well as equally being unproductive.

This takes away our precious energy on The Now, The Present, what is in front of you now?

Right Here Right Now

It is not an easy concept to adopt continuously being right here right now, being in the present moment. Wow it can all become so hard, so tedious, so well being Human.

I suppose in effect it is a very individual process. We know the tools to adopt to be present but are we always using them? If you do not know the tools then check out my tips. Which I will highlight towards the end.

The next time you find yourself bamboozled, overwhelmed, scattered, rushed, panicked, over the past the present and the future just

Stop and sit with your feelings. I mean literally Just Stop what you are doing and ask yourself

How is this working for me right now?

When, was the last time, if ever you actually stopped, listened and breathed through a current situation.

People are just allowing themselves to just keep on going keep on ploughing through the never-ending, To Do List. They seem to have allowed themselves to be conditioned in that way.

Do you honestly think checking what a complete stranger is doing on Instagram or Facebook is going to make you feel better, No it is not. That takes you away from your presence your precious energy, life, goals, health, both physical and mental, dreams aspirations.

Check in with facebook and Instagram when you are feeling good and just follow what is inspirational not something that after seeing it makes you feel less than, How does that serve you?

So, to conclude this weeks 7 days of principle I want to ask you to do something, some of you may have done it already and if it is new to you try it for our 7 days of principle.

Anytime, you start thinking about the past, present or future and it leaves you with feelings of dread and despair.

7 Simple Tips to stay in  The Present Moment

  • Stop and be still and be completely silent. I mean silent.
  • If you are at your desk at work just stop what you are doing close your eyes and breathe.
  • In your lunch break go outside for a walk without your phone.
  • Go to a park, sit outside and have lunch. No phone
  • Go for a drive with no music on
  • If you are a mum then when your child is sleeping take the time to just sit rest and pause. Literally, take a breather
  • Just be Still and fully present and aware of your body, your breathe and your surroundings and Feel, Feel what it is actually like to be present and aware and truly what a great gift it is

Here is to a Present-Full 2019

So many people are afraid of silence, why I ask myself. To me it is stunningly beautiful, I mean after all don’t you just get sick of the sound of your own voice in your precious head sometimes.

Give it a rest and bring some stillness, presence and beauty into your life.

After all how do you know if anything is going to work if you don’t try it. But as with anything in life it is not a try it once and give up type of scenario, I mean you can’t go to the gym once and have your dream body as you can’t just go to work once to buy the beautiful dream home you want, it doesn’t work that way.

Life is a series of ups and downs, highs and lows but in amongst the insanity there is much to be grateful for The past has gone, the future is in the future and the present in Now, right here right now, what are you going to do with it
