With this year coming to a close, let us see how we are going to choose to end it. How did we begin it? how was the middle and now the end? where are you going to be? where would you like to be? are you were you wanted to be and on and on, with the questions in our heads we can just go whirling around in
The thing is, no matter where you are physically or in your emotional being, the truth is, we are where we are supposed to be right now, this second.
This was not going to be todays post, but I felt led to write this for this weeks Blog because when I woke up this morning after a heavy, incredibly stormy night in bleak, miserable, dark grey England, I started wishing I was in Bora Bora or Byron Bay anywhere but here. I love the summer months.
It is one thing wishing of course, it is not a problem, I will be visiting these places some day soon. It was just that it got me thinking about the Present moment and The Power of Now. One of my favourite books.
I had the great privilege of going to see Eckhart Tolle in Melbourne with one of my best girlfriends Marisa, one of the most kindest and genuine people I am blessed to call my friend.
We saw him years ago for a whole days event. Truly inspiring. So I decided to change my book around for the week, as you all know I read a book a week and feel rereading The Power of Now will be a great transitional end of the year.
It is an incredibly emotional time for many people, and many of you will either be pleased with your progress or not. Either way we each have the choice to do the following.
Remember you will never have this same day again, the same exact date, the same moment, the same exact feeling at that particular moment.
Be present. It is only in the Now that the Power and magic happens.
Until, you have a new you you will never have a full solid accomplishment of the new year resolutions you keep making. I personally do not believe in New Years resolutions.
We are given each day as a gift and we can internally in our practices and rituals make a daily resolution for ourselves. I do this first thing in the morning with my gratitude ritual.
Light a candle
Surrounded by my crystals.
In the peace and stillness of the morning, I envoke my resolution for the day. How I perceive and see my day ahead.
The intention is clear and sacred to me at that moment.
We have 365 days of a glorious year ahead. Where will you be?
Planning ahead does not take away from the present moment, only if it is causing you
I will feature some more tips and daily methods I have adopted and been conscious of in ways to live in The Present. It is not always easy but acknowledging the benefits first means you are at least aware.
So here’s to writing this, this time Next Year from the Beaches of Bora Bora or Byron.
